Babby Talk #14
Advice for grandparents-to-be, a sleepytime playlist Totoro would approve of, noticing suble seasonal changes and what's for weekend brunch. Aaaand a few other things.
Everything is nerve-racking for expecting and new parents. Probably because it may truly be the first time someone else’s life depended on you and that is definitely stressful. I was sitting next to a table NY-dining style up close and personal, so I couldn’t help but hear one new dad friend reassuring some parents-to-be friends about all the in’s and out’s and up’s and down’s of caring for a tiny human for the first time. Remember pinning down your friend who already had a kid to nervously ask them every question and hang on their every piece of advice? Preschool waitlists and strollers and travel and what to expect after 2 month shots. There’s so much to worry about! I just wanted to tell you that you’re doing great. There are so many stressors and so few easy answers. But you’re doing it and you can do it and you’re doing great. Good on you. -Grace
