Sometimes, on slow weekend afternoons when the kids are feeling particularly bored, we start up an impromptu game we’ve dubbed Surprise Drawing Challenge. We FaceTime someone we love—grandparent, uncle, unsuspecting friend—and immediately challenge them to a draw-off against the kids. Everyone gets the same silly prompt (think: a banana taking a nap or an alligator with a hat) and has exactly 90 seconds to draw their masterpiece. The competition is fierce, the artwork is endlessly weird and delightful, and we’re always laughing by the end. Highly recommend as a mood booster. -Courtney
