This week we attended The Sound of Music as performed by my 10-year-old and her schoolmates. It was extremely cute, but also definitely total mayhem. Several of the kids on stage looked genuinely terrified. Somehow, all the parents suspended disbelief that it was truly masterful, and were correspondingly proud. The best part was when all 30 kids were on stage together, singing the finale. The other best part was the grandma to my left zooming in 12x on her grandchild’s face and I am pretty sure I could see their pores. I guess my point is that we all put on a little show in these moments, and none of us really has it together, but we all play our parts to the best of our abilities. 😅 -Court
7 things at least somewhat related to life with kids:
Make: Spring is here. Make a flower crown.
Watch: A precious jewel of a short film about a friendship between a an allistic child and a non-speaking autistic child that is so wonderful aaaand will probably make you cry.

Nest: Transform your little one's magical art into a rug! Rugs not mugs. JK mugs are good, too!
Take Care: Odds are you could use a relaxing bath time treat. Try a seaweed bath, for those relaxing minutes you have to yourself, however many that may be.
Shop: Very cute tie dye basics for kids and for your summertime vibes.
Read:
on finding peace with having an only child.Make: Bake a delicious and attractive cake in two-ish easy steps.
Something we would wear:

🌈 Fact check! Something a child told us this week: Uranus is an ice giant. Not a gas giant as we had all hoped to be able to say!
Behind the paywall: Be a mushroom! Get ready for summer. Enjoy your eggs. Et cetera!
