This week my 5 year-old came home from school and announced they had watched Reading Rainbow in class. I told her I LOVED Reading Rainbow when I was her age and immediately started singing the theme song. And she joined me! She already knew the words. It is still a great song, by the way. -Grace
7 things at least somewhat related to life with kids:
Watch: The definitive way to draw a cat. Now you know.
Protect: Bug protection that also looks wonderful. Really, really like this concept and execution.

Explore: In case you have a curious being in your midst. This is a special coloring book that highlights all of the small joys in being outside.
Read: Mothers and Other Fictional Characters is a memoir in the form of essays exploring all the facets of what it means to exist as a girl/woman/mother/partner today. It is complicated, as you can imagine.

Shop: Here’s a cute kids’ shop that immediately has us sold on their mix and match not-so-basic basics.
Braid: Does your little one enjoy a fun hairstyle? We found this one easy enough to execute quickly in the morning.
Do: Clean your kids' stuffed animals (it had to be said).
Something we are weighing against current inflation levels:
🌈 Fact check! Something a child told us this week: Farts are necessary for human survival
Over the garden paywall: Books, bags, baskets, brooms, bloomers. It just turned out that way!
