Babby Talk #76
When we hear December, we can only think of December To Remember Sales Event, and nothing else.
Important life update: my daughter’s first Middle School Dance happened. According to the intel, it was the chaotic fever dream we all remember. Girls performing tightly rehearsed choreography on one side; boys on the other, throwing glow sticks.
What really got me, though, was this small reminder she’s not quite done being a kid: she volunteered her own dad to be the official dance photographer. A very generous move, letting your parents be anywhere near a middle school dance… which she only slightly regretted when he showed up for duty in an all black-turtleneck ensemble that he had purchased specifically for the occasion. My conclusion is that being young and interacting with others socially starts out awkward and just stays that way forever. -Court
